Field of Play is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit contemporary art gallery in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Founded in 2022 by Matthew Logsdon and run by a dedicated team of artists and curators, FoP presents artist-driven exhibitions and programming that expand visibility for emerging and underrepresented artists, connect diverse ideas, and foster a collaborative community.

About the Exhibition

Field of Play is excited to announce our open call for Summer 2026. Artists and collectives working in all mediums are invited to submit their work to be considered for a two-person exhibition at the gallery. Two separate submissions will be selected and a theme determined for the exhibition. The show will be on view from August 8th, 2026 through August 23rd, 2026.

Deadline: 11:59pm, June 6th, 2026

Application Fee: $15 paid via Venmo or Zelle

Submission Guidelines

  • Artists may submit up to five works. (JPEG format, 300 dpi, 10 MB max)

  • Links to time based media accepted.

  • Artist Bio (300 word limit)

  • Artist Statement (300 word limit)

  • Artist CV

  • Contact Information

  • Artists outside NYC are eligible to apply; however, artists are responsible for delivering their work to the gallery.

  • Artwork submitted must be ready to hang or install.

  • Submissions will be also be considered for future exhibitions, projects, and featured on our social media.

Exhibition Details

  • The theme of the exhibition will be determined based on submissions.

  • Selected artists will be notified by June 22nd.

  • Artwork must arrive at the gallery by August 1st.

  • The exhibition will open on August 8th, 2026 and close August 23rd, 2026.

  • Artists will receive 60% commission of final sale.
